ISO 50001 Awarded To W. R. Swann Group

The W. R. Swann group of companies is pleased to announce that it has been awarded ISO 50001 certification for its energy management systems. The International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) 50001 certification supports organisations in all sectors to use energy more efficiently. It provides a framework of requirements for companies, such as developing an energy efficiency policy, measuring the performance of energy-efficient systems and planning continual energy management strategies. The ISO 50001 certificate is available to download in the accreditations section of the website.

CREST Award 2015

The CREST (Cancer Research Excellence in Surgical Trials) Award is one part of an initiative to increase the engagement of surgeons in the NCRI and NIHR CRN: Cancer, to increase the number of surgical trials and to increase the percentage of patients with newly diagnosed tumours who are approached about entering clinical trials.The initiative also seeks to influence cancer research funders and surgical trainees.

Sharps Safety Awareness Training by Swann-Morton

Following the implementation of the EU Directive on the prevention of Sharp Injuries in the Hospital and Healthcare Sector (2010/32/EU) into UK law, Swann-Morton continues to offer in-house training on good practice when fitting, handling, and disposing of surgical blades and scalpels in the workplace.

They also offer a number of products such as their single and multi-use Blade removers, Retractable Scalpels, the Cygnetic range, and the recently introduced "KLEEN" Blade Management System all of which incorporate safety features that can support existing protocols and initiatives already established within the Hospitals.
